Requirements
- Experienced manager with a strong technical and delivery background
- Previous experience as a software engineer
- Experience directly managing at least 2-3 Engineering Managers
- Experience leading organizations of around 20 engineers
- Adept at delivery and execution
- Fosters a high bar for engineering excellence
- Skilled in people leadership, support, coaching, and development
- Partners with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives
- Builds strong stakeholder relationships
- Collaborates with the wider engineering organization
Responsibilities
- Lead across multiple teams in an organization of 20-30 people
- Grow and build new squads as needed
- Manage Tech Leads, Senior Engineers, and 2-3 Engineering Managers
- Accountable for technical and delivery outcomes
- Support and develop engineering talent
- Create an inclusive team environment
- Structure, organize, support, and challenge teams to deliver their mission
- Foster a high bar for engineering excellence
- Drive technical initiatives to raise engineering practices
- Build strong stakeholder relationships
- Contribute to company-wide managerial and technical best practices
