Data Advocate/Developer Relations

3 or more years in a technical data role (data engineer, analytics engineer, or developer advocate). 1 year as a developer/data advocate/technical product marketing or significant community contributions. Advanced command of SQL. Strong working knowledge of Python. Startup experience. Deep understanding of modern data stacks (warehouses, ETL/ELT, reverse ETL, observability, governance). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with data communities (e.g., Snowflake, dbt). Superior customer facing and public facing communication skills.

Act as a public technical advocate for Matia across various platforms. Create deep technical content (tutorials, guides, demos). Lead developer programming for adoption and customer success. Build and grow a technical community. Submit technical papers and presentations at conferences. Educate practitioners on data pipelines, governance, observability, and cataloging. Maintain relationships with technical counterparts. Host technical workshops and community events. Engage with users to answer questions and gather feedback. Serve as a data expert to provide feedback to product and engineering. Influence roadmap decisions with community insights. Support technical documentation and release materials. Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success on launches and narratives. Support technical launches with content.
