Data Center Operations Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 3–6 years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure management. Strong knowledge of data center standards (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute tier levels). Strong knowledge of power and cooling systems (UPS, CRAC units). Strong knowledge of network and server hardware (rack/stack, cabling). Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., DCIM platforms, environmental monitoring). Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in colocation and cloud/hybrid environments (preferred). Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency best practices (preferred). Project management experience (PMP, Agile methodologies) (preferred). Familiar with JIRA and Confluence (preferred).

Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of data center sites. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and uptime. Manage capacity planning, power/cooling utilization, and rack space. Lead response efforts for incidents impacting data center services. Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Coordinate and execute maintenance and changes to infrastructure. Manage relationships with third-party vendors. Supervise on-site contractors for installations, repairs, and upgrades. Utilize monitoring tools to track performance. Identify and escalate potential risks. Maintain accurate records of hardware assets, cabling, and documentation. Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory and spare parts. Oversee hardware lifecycle. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs). Recommend and implement efficiency improvements.
