Senior Mechanical Engineer (Canada)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university 5 to 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry Experience with data centre projects or other large-scale industrial projects is a plus Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit), CAD modeling tools, and other relevant engineering software (Computational Fluid Dynamics software) Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes Familiarity with mechanical codes and safety standards Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong project management abilities, including the coordination and supervision of on-site activities Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (PEng) license will be a plus Good project and client leadership skills Willingness to travel frequently to client sites located in Canada and the United States (Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Texas, Colorado, and Virginia) Ability to work from home Authorization to work in Canada

Lead mechanical engineering design activities on major projects in the United States and Canada Design, model, and simulate mechanical systems for hyperscale and AI data centres, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, cooling towers, chilled water systems, and boilers Prepare engineering calculations and detailed mechanical drawings Design highly energy-efficient and sustainable systems Create technical documentation for project execution, including design criteria and specifications Ensure project requirements are met in terms of scope, cost, and schedule Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts Review shop drawings for compliance with engineering codes and safety standards Develop and maintain project scope documentation and revisions Utilize BIM tools for virtual construction of mechanical systems and coordination with other disciplines Manage and coordinate projects, including on-site supervision Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress Utilize laser scanning technology to document installation states
