Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) Minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process equipment installation, or industrial facility construction General contracting experience strongly preferred Experience with medical waste, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, or similar regulated environments preferred Proficient in reading and implementation of construction drawings Strong understanding of mechanical systems, utilities, and industrial installation practices Experience managing contractors and vendors during equipment and utility installation Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality compliance standards Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination abilities Detail-oriented and proactive with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects in a remote environment
Responsibilities:
Develop installation and startup plans and timelines Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and contractors Handle bidding for installation of HVAC, steam, air, water, and electrical systems Manage and track equipment and utility installation milestones Specify, source, and purchase process equipment Evaluate supplier proposals and lead technical reviews Coordinate integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems with site utilities Interface with contractors and subcontractors for installation quality and safety Verify installation drawings, submittments, and field changes Develop and execute equipment commissioning plans and functional tests Lead startup activities, including operator training Troubleshoot and optimize system performance Ensure installations meet safety and code requirements Maintain detailed records of installation and commissioning Assist Maintenance team in CMMS implementation Coordinate equipment operational training with Operations team Promote a strong culture of safety and operational excellence
