Neurophysiologist Physician

MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited neurology/neurosurgery residency and subspecialty training/fellowship in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring. Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Board Certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). At least 2 years of experience providing comprehensive IONM supervision during surgeries. Expert level competence in the interpretation of multimodal IONM data (SSEP, MEP, EMG, EEG). Strong decision-making and communication skills. Familiarity with VA clinical systems.

Provide remote, real-time intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring interpretation. Supervise IONM technologists and direct selection of monitoring modalities. Continuously review neurophysiologic data and communicate findings to surgical and anesthesia teams. Document intraoperative interpretations and events. Participate in pre-operative planning and post-case review. Ensure practice complies with VA policies and federal privacy/security statutes. Provide overall technical and clinical oversight of IONM services.
