Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. 5+ years experience in roles with similar level of capacity & responsibilities. 7+ years of combined experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, and People & Culture/HR leadership. Experience working in nonprofit organizations, ideally with 20+ employees. Experience in recruiting multiple, diverse positions in a condensed timeline. Experience developing and implementing comprehensive, people-centered onboarding programs. Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Strategic mindset with ability to manage complex issues. Confident communicator and facilitator. Strong project management, organization, time, and priority management skills. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make recommendations. Highly developed problem-solving skills. Strong aptitude and comfortability with technology, systems, and platforms. Deep personal and professional commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Preferred experience with higher-educational institutions. Preferred professional certification/training in change management, generative conflict, etc.
Responsibilities:
Implement, manage, and improve employee relations and full lifecycle recruitment & onboarding practices. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, programs, and resources in employee engagement, working norms, performance management, training, and compliance. Manage the implementation of organizational initiatives like position goal-setting, performance management, and professional development. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Drive employee engagement, development, and retention initiatives. Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews. Serve as the primary system owner for HRIS, ATS, EVerify, and HR drives. Provide support and partnership to managers and employees, fostering an inclusive and equitable environment. Support the development and implementation of accessibility, equity, inclusion, and diversity strategies. Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from job analysis to onboarding. Develop proactive talent acquisition strategies. Partner with hiring managers for effective interviewing, selection, and retention. Lead and support the development and implementation of onboarding plans for new hires. Support recruitment and onboarding for Fellows, AmeriCorps Leaders, and Consultants. Lead specific HR functional areas and projects. Conduct thorough, impartial investigations into employee complaints, misconduct, and grievances.
