High School Diploma or higher 3 years minimum experience as a Medical Assistant CCMA/RMA Certification preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with answering phones Experience with voicemails Understanding of medical terminology related to surgical procedures and pathology diagnoses Experience with stat emergent situations Experience with charting Experience with patient scheduling

Answer phones and return voicemails for patient inquiries. Understand and relay stat emergent situations and pathology results. Navigate EMA/EMR-faxes, tasks, and general knowledge. Relay pathology results including biopsies and schedule returns. Make new patient charts and notes. Answer patient questions using basic medical terminology. Document all conversations in EMA. Schedule surgeries according to provider guidelines. Prioritize skin cancers based on type and severity. Explain Mohs procedures to patients. Complete pre-op assessments and send necessary prescriptions.
