Requirements:
At least 10 years’ professional experience managing core operational functions within a non-profit, government, or policy organization. Experience leading teams within a remote work environment. Direct experience leading operations for an organization navigating organizational growth. Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities. Outstanding organizational and project management skills. Strong understanding of nonprofit fund accounting. Experience managing government (federal and state) grants and contracts preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Collaborative leader and team player. Strong interest and/or expertise regarding healthcare access for people returning from incarceration. Technologically savvy and adept at leveraging systems and tools for effective team operations and collaboration. Familiarity and interest with the use of AI in operations. Experience working with outside council on organizational governance, employment law, contracts, and nonprofit legal needs.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior leader for operations, ensuring business processes and technology support impact goals. Identify and implement opportunities for improving processes and tools. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including planning, grant management, and budgeting. Oversee contract and grant compliance, particularly for government funding. Oversee all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition and compliance. Champion and maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performance organizational culture. Design, create, and reinforce structures and policies for team cohesion. Define, document, and implement organizational policies. Participate in strategic planning and establish operational goals. Lead the translation of strategic vision into a sustainable operational plan.
