Requirements:
People person who loves seeking out and building relationships. Experience in a charity fundraising position is beneficial. Understand what good looks like in terms of brokering strong partnerships. Experience in research, prospecting, proposal development, pitching, and relationship stewardship. Excellent at relationships and committed to follow-through. Evidence of winning relationships which have generated income (e.g. corporate partnerships, sponsorship, grants). Evidence of bold strategies for growth (sales, membership, users, income). Experience prospecting, brokering and stewarding relationships at a senior level. Passion for STEM, inclusion, tech for good is a plus. Energy, tenacity, persistence, attention to detail, empathy, and credibility. Strong writer and brilliant orator. Commercially minded and able to negotiate well. Organised. Resilient and solution-focused problem solver. Must live in, and have the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities:
Identify, go after, and convert opportunities to sustain and scale the charity’s impact. Secure income generating relationships with trusts, foundations, and philanthropists. Secure corporate partnerships for funding and volunteers. Form collaborations with organizations supporting outreach and growth. Build an ecosystem of proactive trustees, advisors, ambassadors and advocates. Work across trusts & foundations, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, individual giving and statutory fundraising. Craft grant proposals and support pitching to corporate boards or high-net-worth individuals. Build and drive a fundraising pipeline. Develop and hone the case for support and associated assets. Pursue grant applications and funding bids. Prospect corporate partnerships and secure sponsorship. Deliver impactful employee engagement opportunities. Leverage existing networks, volunteers, and partners. Identify, pursue and catch relationships to grow participation in schools and youth groups. Support national relationships with Multi-Academy Trusts, youth providers, charities and networks. Maximize regional/local relationships with universities, science centres, other charities, societies and youth organisations. Leverage corporate partnerships for growth (volunteerism, advocacy, referral). Onboard, steward and leverage Trustees and Advisors. Support creation and management of Advisory and Fundraising Boards. Support relationships with external bodies and individuals to increase share of voice, influence, investment, impact.
