Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately Comprehensive knowledge of BS7671:2018, BS5839-1:2017, and BS5839-6:2019 regulations Proven commitment to delivering first-class customer service Previous experience as an electrician, or strong knowledge of electrical systems Comfortable working in a physically demanding role Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK Collaborative approach to support colleagues, share knowledge, and help train Full, clean UK driving licence Relevant certificates of competency and industry-recognised qualifications FIA Units 1–5 (or equivalent certification) desirable 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification required

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on fire detection systems Maintain, service, and commission fire alarm and emergency lighting systems Undertake fire alarm installations Commission fire alarm systems, with a focus on Advanced and Kentec panels Plan, coordinate, and deliver routine maintenance visits and reactive call-outs Interpret and apply technical drawings and wiring diagrams Diagnose and resolve system faults Lead and oversee small to medium-scale installation projects
