IT Security Administrator

Bachelor's degree in Cyber/IT Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of IT security and system administration-related work experience. Experience in implementing security software systems, applications, and products. Experience with software management best practices and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Security Operations Center policies and procedures. Knowledge of data privacy and protection laws. Basic knowledge of multiple security technologies (SIEM, IDS, Endpoint security, Web Proxy, Active Directory, PKI, Radius, Log Analysis). Attention to detail and ability to use initiative. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with high ethical standards. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand business objectives.

Monitor security tools and log files for situational awareness. Investigate security alerts and determine their nature (false positive, event, attack, incident). Report on incident details, containment actions, and recommendations. Investigate reported suspicious emails and categorize them. Deploy IT security training to users. Keep software and hardware updated with security patches. Stay current with cybersecurity news and threat actor TTPs. Research and report on security bulletins and threats. Assist coworkers with various tasks. Perform technical assessments of security incidents. Enforce security policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures.
