Requirements:
Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 11, Windows Server). Understanding of Active Directory and DNS. Understanding of network topologies (wired, wireless, switching, security, VLANs). Basic security hardening or penetration testing. Experience with PowerShell for system administration and automation. Experience supporting organizations to achieve Cyber Essentials. Office 365 and Azure administration. Building, configuring, and troubleshooting server and workstation hardware. Experience with endpoint security solutions and managed email security. Familiarity with patch management, configuration management, or mobile device management solutions. Experience with managed deployment of client applications. SQL Server or SQL database administration and upgrades. Supporting common end user software including Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support via ticketing platform, email, phone, and remote tools. Diagnose and resolve common desktop, laptop, printer, application, and basic networking issues. Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, and applications. Assist with routine maintenance, patching, updates, and monitoring. Escalate complex issues to senior engineers. Support small project tasks. Document work, updates, and solutions. Coordinate laptop procurement and equipment logistics. Support expense administration and operational tasks.
