Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MPH, MS, PharmD) strongly preferred
- Extensive experience in business development roles within medical communications, healthcare communications, or pharmaceutical communications agencies
- Experience in client-facing and opinion leader-facing roles
- Demonstrable track record of generating new business, leading pitches/RFPs, building long-term client relationships, and meeting revenue targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen
- Scientific literacy or familiarity with life-sciences/healthcare
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities among pharma/biotech companies
- Cultivate client relationships and understand their needs
- Lead proposal development and pitch presentations
- Contribute to business-development strategy by tracking market trends and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align proposals and delivery with client needs
