Senior Legal Counsel

LPC or EU legal qualification equivalent 5 plus years post qualification experience, preferably in both top law firm or in-house environments Fluent in English and preferably at least one of the following languages: French, German (with a preference for French) Experience in the payments industry, banking or financial services sector Experience with the blockchain and crypto landscape a plus Familiarity with blockchain and distributed ledger technology Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving legal challenges Ability to provide practical, strategic and business-oriented legal advice Ability to build strong working relationships and work within cross-functional teams Ability to effectively manage multiple time sensitive tasks Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Drafting and negotiating complex contractual arrangements Providing day-to-day legal advice to business units Assisting with corporate matters (funding rounds, M&A) Assisting with regulatory matters (licence applications) Assisting with line management responsibilities Contributing to the development and implementation of legal strategies Providing guidance on legal issues and regulatory developments in payments, banking, and crypto Conducting contract reviews (third-party T&Cs, external comments on T&Cs, Trading Agreements) Reviewing and drafting T&Cs for existing and new products (crypto, FX, payments) Conducting data privacy document reviews Reviewing and drafting outsourcing agreements Managing specific client projects (referral or partnership arrangements) Assisting with client migration between entities Supporting the process, coordination, and project management of legal matters
