Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Databases

Strong MySQL experience - query tuning, replication, schema design, operations. Hands-on experience with DB monitoring tools (Percona Toolkit, PMM, Grafana, Prometheus). Solid Linux fundamentals and comfort with networking concepts. Experience supporting databases for high-scale or production-critical systems. Strong communication and the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams.

Engineer and support high-availability MySQL environments across production systems. Optimise database performance through indexing, schema design, slow-query analysis, and tuning. Manage upgrades, migrations, replication configuration, and failover with minimal downtime. Build monitoring, alerting, and observability for proactive issue detection. Collaborate with developers to embed database best practice into application design. Contribute to internal tooling, automation, and documentation to uplift the entire platform.
