Credentialing and Contracting Coordinator

Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 4+ years of experience in provider credentialing, payer enrollment, or payer contracting. Strong knowledge of payer credentialing requirements, fee schedules, and contract structures. Minimum 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare regulations and/or compliance standards. Experience working in a startup, scaling healthcare organization, fast-paced RCM environments, with multi-specialty practices or MSO structures preferred. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification is a plus. Athena EHR experience is a plus.

Ensures providers are credentialed and enrolled per regulations. Maintains credentialing database and manages enrollment workflows. Oversees CAQH, NPI, and PECOS updates. Manages payer contracts, monitors renewals, and verifies reimbursement rates. Ensures compliance with payer credentialing and regulatory standards. Serves as liaison between providers, payers, and revenue cycle teams. Manages facility-level and operational changes communicated to payers.
