Virtual Teacher, CTE Technology & Engineering/Technology Education

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. Active state teaching license with a CTE Technology & Engineering/Technology Education endorsement. Three or more years of classroom teaching experience. One year of online teaching experience. Ability to clear required background check. Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology (desired). Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment (desired). Experience with online learning platforms (desired). Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data (desired). Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers (desired). Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes (desired). Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and virtual learning platforms (desired). Efficient organization and prioritization skills (desired). Ability to adapt to changing technology and virtual teaching methods (desired). Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum (desired). Ability to maintain a flexible schedule (desired). Provide live and asynchronous instruction. Support, guide, and manage the learning process based on individual student needs. Grade lessons and provide feedback. Message students and parents/learning coaches. Interact with local school representatives. Facilitate student engagement and encourage discussion. Ensure student progress is made. Develop rapport with students and create a trusting environment. Maintain grade book in a timely manner. Make student placement and promotion decisions. Alert administrators to concerns about student performance. Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests. Respond to student messages and discussions promptly. Create learning resources. Maintain synchronous and asynchronous communication with students and parents/guardians. Acquaint students with coursework and communicate school requirements. Support student curricular and instructional issues. Provide basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment. Mentor new hires (when assigned). Collaborate with the Instructional team (when assigned). Implement student-centered strategies for self-efficacy (Success Coaching, when assigned). Provide research-driven coaching for teachers (Instructional Coaching, when assigned).
