You will help utility partners transition from reactive maintenance to a data-driven resilience strategy. They utilize advanced AI models to pinpoint and prioritize vegetation risks before they materialize. Their Wildfire Intelligence product helps identify high-risk areas, ensuring a safer and more resilient electrical grid for communities worldwide. They are growing rapidly, having raised $43M in Series B funding, and now serve six of the ten largest utilities across the Americas.

How We Work

Overstory is a remote-first company with a diverse team of 100 people. Team members represent 15 nationalities and speak 14 languages. You will work from 11 countries across the Americas and Europe. Engineering at Overstory

Overstory's technology stack combines advanced AI with geospatial data processing to create real-time vegetation intelligence. Engineers solve complex problems at the intersection of machine learning, remote sensing, and large-scale data. You will work with Google Cloud, Ubuntu, OpenResty, and Google Cloud CDN. They actively use AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and GitHub Copilot. The team processes massive geospatial datasets, requiring expertise in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and React. Engineers continuously improve models, ETL pipelines, and internal tools for utility partners. This means you’ll tackle challenges in performance, scalability, and data integration.
