5+ years of professional experience as a Character Artist or Senior Character Artist in game development. At least one shipped title (console, PC, or equivalent). Expert understanding of human and creature anatomy, silhouette, topology, UVs, PBR texturing, and character material creation. Proficiency in Maya or 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop. Strong understanding of current-gen pipelines, character asset requirements, and optimization for real-time environments. Proven ability to evaluate, critique, and guide character art with clear and actionable feedback. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working with distributed teams.
