Requirements:
Proven success exceeding sales quotas within the political advertising ecosystem. 5+ years of digital advertising sales experience, ideally focused on political or advocacy media. Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. A self-starter mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong problem-solving abilities. Experience using CRM tools to manage pipelines, track performance, and uncover new opportunities. Proficiency in building persuasive pitch decks and supporting research to win new business. Willingness and ability to travel to meet with clients as needed.
Responsibilities:
Identify, pitch, and close digital advertising campaigns with political, public affairs, and government media buyers. Build and maintain trusted relationships with local, state, and national political agencies, PACs, party committees, and advocacy groups. Serve as a strategic partner, providing insights and recommendations that help clients achieve their goals while delivering measurable ROI. Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to closing — with a solutions-focused, consultative approach tailored to each client’s unique objectives. Represent Townsquare Ignite in virtual and in-person meetings, demonstrating subject matter expertise and a clear POV on industry trends and opportunities. Collaborate with Townsquare’s local Account Executives to support and close deals in-market. Analyze campaign performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive incremental revenue. Act as a strategic leader who balances immediate revenue results with scalable growth for the future of the business. Participate in regular virtual team meetings with the camera on to foster stronger collaboration and engagement, ensuring active communication and connection with colleagues across departments.
