Responsibilities:
Provide application support for COTS and GOTS software on Linux Servers Administer user accounts and control system/network functions Support code deployments and updates Provide technical support and troubleshooting Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support Attend meetings with DCSA Government Personnel, DBA, and Development personnel Write and submit change requests Coordinate with other technical teams Perform COTS and GOTS software installations Deploy custom software and debug deployments Resolve installation problems and determine host system requirements Map requirements to application topology Select application editions and install options Provide application administration services Maintain GOTS software revisions and distributions Provide application support for implementation activities Plan, perform, and implement installations and upgrades Implement/sustain middleware application components Provide application support for maintenance activities Improve performance and optimize application functionality Diagnose and recover failed applications Maintain application integrity, performance, and availability Provide application support for monitoring activities during core hours Take proactive measures to prevent service disruption Respond to after-hours calls for outages and major system degradations Provide application support for web administration activities in Windows Server environment Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot web applications Provide application support for troubleshooting activities, including root cause analysis Provide application support for repair activities, including patching and back-out coding Assist supporting administrators, database teams, and developers with errors/issues Provide support for application security administration, including STIG guidelines Develop procedures for responding to new threats Ensure information security policies are applied Streamline security using managed accounts Control access with permissions and roles Provide support for application restoration planning and execution Lead or participate in troubleshooting initiatives Develop work-arounds and restoration plans Implement system operational restoration plans
