Senior Database Engineer

Ten or more years of direct experience working as an Oracle Database Administrator. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with automation and configuration management tools. Experience with performance tuning utilizing indexes, disk and query optimizations, and other methods. Experience with database security, replication, and failover mechanisms. Experience with encryption methodologies for databases. Experience with database clustering techniques. Experience with Oracle databases and supplemental technologies. Good to have experience with Postgres.

Proactively identify and resolve system availability, performance, and security concerns. Create and maintain backup/restore, encryption, and replication strategies. Participate in and influence the design, planning, and implementation of database architecture projects. Translate business requirements into database strategies and initiatives. Work collaboratively within a team and drive work to closure. Contribute to the refinement of team processes.
