AVP, ALM Model Strategy

Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related discipline. Minimum ASA designation required; FSA preferred; MAAA preferred. 10+ years of Actuarial / ALM experience. At least 5 years leading projection or forecasting model development. Proven experience overseeing large-scale model modernization or migrations (AXIS experience strongly preferred). Solid understanding of investment modeling concepts, ALM analytics, liability-projection mechanics, and financial reporting frameworks (GAAP & Statutory). Experience managing and collaborating with consultants and cross-functional teams. Expert use of AXIS. Working knowledge of automation tools such as Python, SQL, and Power BI.

Serve as the architect and technical lead for the ALM Model build, designing a unified framework. Translate strategic objectives into a multi-year build roadmap. Lead collaboration with VP-level leaders across ALM, Modeling, Finance, and Risk. Oversee ALM tool evaluations and design future-state runtime architecture. Direct design and development of the ALM Model architecture for efficiency, scalability, and integration. Implement governance for assumptions, inputs, and methodology. Establish user acceptance testing and change-management procedures. Manage internal and external resources to execute program deliverables. Lead documentation and build transparency for ALM Model design. Facilitate knowledge transfer and internal training. Deliver status, milestone, and risk updates to senior leadership. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Promote collaboration and accountability, and mentor team members.
