Director, Accounting

CPA strongly preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting experience 2+ years in a leadership role at a high-growth tech or SaaS company Public accounting background (Big 4 audit experience strongly preferred) Proven experience leading or materially contributing to ASC 606 revenue recognition Equity and stock-based compensation accounting Capitalized software and internal-use software standards Demonstrated success owning or supporting financial statement audits Experience designing, implementing, or operating within a scalable internal control framework Strong systems orientation: experience with ERP platforms (NetSuite preferred), QBO, Ramp, Bill.com, Zip, Navan; ERP implementation experience is a strong plus Ability to balance detail and strategy Excellent written and verbal communication skills A leadership style rooted in collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement Comfort working cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, GTM, and Technical teams Curiosity and initiative

Fully in-house all core accounting operations Build and reshape the accounting team Own financial systems stack Complete GAAP restatement work Select and onboard external audit firm Lead monthly close cadence Lead Ditto's first external audit Select and implement a new ERP system Help evaluate and potentially implement a billing system Establish a lightweight, risk-based internal controls framework Drive automation, AI adoption, and scalable policy frameworks Serve as a trusted advisor for the VP of Finance Build strong relationships and partner cross-functionally Drive change effectively Foster a culture of business partnership and customer service
