Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- 3+ years of audit experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or professional certifications (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferred but not required.
- Significant experience with inventory accounting, preferably within consumer product goods; retail experience is a plus.
- Experience as a consultant or business partner regularly interfacing with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior accounting team members.
- Experience developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Experience with Quickbooks and enterprise finance systems, including implementation and maintenance.
- Understanding of equity management and VC funding; 409a valuations a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support financial planning and business strategy with insightful analysis and communication with client leadership.
- Oversee day-to-day, month-end, and year-end accounting functions.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain capitalization tables and oversee equity plan transactions.
- Implement and model best practices in accounting and financial processes according to GAAP.
- Oversee and coordinate with external partners on insurance, audits, tax, and due-diligence activities.
- Monitor contractual relations for financial compatibility and compliance.
- Guide clients through enterprise solution selection and implementation.
- Mentor junior colleagues.
