Accounting Director

7+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience. 3+ years of audit experience. Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or professional certifications (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferred but not required. Significant experience with inventory accounting, preferably within consumer product goods; retail experience is a plus. Experience as a consultant or business partner regularly interfacing with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Experience managing and mentoring junior accounting team members. Experience developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls. Experience with Quickbooks and enterprise finance systems, including implementation and maintenance. Understanding of equity management and VC funding; 409a valuations a plus.

Support financial planning and business strategy with insightful analysis and communication with client leadership. Oversee day-to-day, month-end, and year-end accounting functions. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Maintain capitalization tables and oversee equity plan transactions. Implement and model best practices in accounting and financial processes according to GAAP. Oversee and coordinate with external partners on insurance, audits, tax, and due-diligence activities. Monitor contractual relations for financial compatibility and compliance. Guide clients through enterprise solution selection and implementation. Mentor junior colleagues.
