Sr Ruby on Rails Developer - Remote - ONLY MEXICO

Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, including MVC, ORM, and RESTful design. Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and schema design. Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) for integration purposes. Proficiency with Git and version control best practices. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and ability to work in remote, cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience. Experience with Redis, Sidekiq, or other background job tools. Familiarity with Docker. Experience deploying apps to AWS, Heroku, or other cloud environments. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Build and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby and the Rails framework. Implement server-side logic, develop RESTful APIs, and manage background jobs. Design and maintain database schemas, optimize queries, and work with PostgreSQL or MySQL. Connect applications with third-party APIs and integrate front-end components with backend processes. Implement automated testing (RSpec, Minitest), participate in code reviews, and ensure code quality. Identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and performance issues. Work with designers, product managers, and engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments. Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments using AWS, Heroku, or similar platforms.
