Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience 3–5 years of experience in COBOL development (Batch, CICS, or both) Strong understanding of structured programming and software design principles Hands-on experience with JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM Familiarity with version control tools such as Git Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain COBOL-based applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features Participate in code reviews Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Partner with QA, DevOps, and Product teams for deployments Explore and adopt new tools and technologies within the mainframe ecosystem
