Security Risk Design Consultant

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in security design. Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisory relationships. Strong understanding of security and risk management principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience producing security system designs, technical documentation, and specifications. Knowledge of low-voltage systems, including structured cabling design, relay logic, basic IP networking, and electrified door hardware. Familiarity with basic construction, electrical, building, and fire codes. Proficiency with security technologies and AutoCAD and/or Revit software. Active security clearance (preferred). Professional certifications such as CPP and/or PSP (preferred). Manufacturer certifications in electronic security systems (preferred). Experience working within a multidisciplinary consulting environment (preferred). Experience developing technical security system design documents in accordance with applicable DoS/OBO requirements and guidelines (preferred).

Collaborate on security system designs across various industries. Recommend and implement physical, technical, and operational security solutions. Develop and maintain security specifications. Prepare security system plans and details for drawings and bid packages. Produce point-to-point wiring diagrams for security systems. Create and edit construction and equipment specifications. Coordinate technical security system requirements with relevant trades and stakeholders. Build and maintain client relationships. Conduct comprehensive physical and technical security assessments. Manage multiple concurrent projects. Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand service offerings. Ability to travel up to approximately 25%.
