Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. At least 2 years of U.S. bookkeeping (or tax filing) experience with SMBs. At least 2 years of direct customer communication (email/calls) supporting SMB clients. Working knowledge of accounting principles, softwares, and modern cloud workflows. Attention to detail and an ownership mentality. Coachability: low-ego, feedback-hungry, growth-oriented. Comfort with Google Workspace / Microsoft Office. Clear, concise, and client-friendly English communication.
Responsibilities:
Categorize transactions and reconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts. Post journal entries and adjustments. Maintain general ledger hygiene and keep financial records current. Prepare month-end submissions with notes on variances and outstanding items. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, answering questions and requesting documents. Share plain-English summaries of financial changes, pending items, and next steps. Conduct daily check-ins summarizing tasks completed, blockers, and questions. Participate in weekly 1:1s for goal progress.
