Sr. Workday Benefits Consultant

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience implementing Workday HCM with a focus on Benefits. At least 3 years of experience working with Public Sector clients (state, local, or federal). Proficient in Workday configuration, data conversion, and testing within Workday Benefits module. Active Workday Certification in Benefits required. Demonstrated strength in business analysis and client engagement. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Willingness to travel up to 40%. Experience with Human Resources/HCM and multiple, concurrent Workday deployments is a plus. Public Sector implementation experience is required.

Partner with clients to understand complex benefits structures. Lead discovery sessions to document requirements and translate them into Workday configurations. Configure the Workday Benefits module (Health, Insurance, COBRA, Retirement). Ensure configurations reflect collective bargaining agreements and local mandates. Create configuration guides, unit test scripts, and participate in testing cycles. Demonstrate configurations through prototype environments. Apply Meridian's internal Workday Delivery Framework and Methodology. Maintain project documentation and RAID logs. Support risk identification and mitigation planning. Provide expert guidance on Workday Benefits best practices. Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation. Maintain strong understanding of state and local union policies and regulations. Translate policy requirements into compliant configuration and business process design.
