Requirements:
Experience with large healthcare billing systems (100+ providers) is a plus. Extensive knowledge of patient registration, coding, billing, regulatory requirements, billing compliance, business operations, financial systems, and financial reporting. At least 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment or healthcare claims processing. 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. 1+ year of supervisory experience/leading a team in healthcare revenue management cycle roles. Experience with a large healthcare organization supporting 100+ providers and overseeing 10+ team members. Experience with large Practice Management (PM) System, eCW is a plus. Working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables. Experience in training the team. High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Responsibilities:
Oversees day-to-day operations and supervises the team. Responds to process inquiries and manages first-level escalations. Prioritizes and adjusts daily workflows to meet AR goals and KPIs. Assists with creating front-end scrubs based on denial management review. Manages the team through improvement initiatives for effectiveness. Participates in new projects and knowledge transfer. Maintains new hire training and assists with policy/procedure documentation. Conducts team member audits for quality assurance. Identifies and documents trends in underpayments, denials, and aging receivables. Assists with complex claim resolutions and trains the team on follow-up efforts. Prepares project data with external payors and partners. Motivates, trains, evaluates, and reports on team performance. Acts as a system expert for all AR functions and trains effectively. Assists management in setting weekly/monthly goals and ensuring KPI achievement. Assists manager with preparing RCM reporting metrics and project status reports. Researches and maintains understanding of RCM policy changes. Reviews incoming claim/denial volumes, daily billing, rejections, clean claim rates, and team workflows. Assists manager with the interview process. Assists with preparation of team meetings focused on collaboration and process improvement. Assists manager with employee performance appraisals and skill development.
