Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a healthcare or healthcare claims processing environment. Minimum 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. Minimum 1+ year of supervisory experience/leading a team in healthcare revenue management cycle roles. Experience with large healthcare organizations supporting 100 or more providers. Experience overseeing 10+ team members. Working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables. Experience in training the team. High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience with large healthcare billing systems (over 100+ providers) is a plus. Extensive knowledge of patient registration, coding, billing, regulatory requirements, billing compliance, business operations, financial systems, and financial reporting. Experience with a large Practice Management (PM) System, eCW is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and supervise day-to-day operations. Respond to process inquiries and manage first-level escalations. Prioritize and adjust daily workflows to meet goals and KPIs. Assist with creating front-end scrubs based on denial management review. Streamline improvement initiatives to enhance team effectiveness. Participate in new projects and knowledge transfer. Maintain new hire training processes and assist with policy/procedure documentation. Conduct team member audits for quality assurance. Identify and document trends in underpayments, denials, and aging receivables. Assist with complex claim resolutions and train team on follow-up efforts. Prepare project data for external payors and partners. Motivate, train, evaluate, and report on team performance. Serve as a system matter expert for AR functions. Assist management in establishing goals and ensuring team KPI achievement. Prepare weekly/monthly RCM reporting metrics and project status reports. Research and maintain understanding of RCM policy changes. Daily review of claim/denial volumes, billing, rejections, clean claim rates, and team workflows. Assist manager in the interview process. Assist with preparation of team meetings for collaboration and process improvement. Assist manager with employee performance appraisals and skill development.
