Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Water Resource Engineering or relevant field, 7+ years of experience, or a Masters Degree with 6 years of experience. Registered Professional Engineer or other Professional Registrations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, staff, subconsultants and contractors. Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and/or similar hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations, low-impact development (LID), and sustainable site design practices. Proven experience managing multiple projects, teams, and deadlines concurrently. Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators. Experience with municipal, commercial, institutional, and/or industrial site development projects (preferred). Business development and proposal writing experience (preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong desire to manage and mentor junior staff. Driver's license required.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct technical staff on complex projects. Assist in training and technical development of staff. Consult on technical issues and provide technical reviews. Recognize potential risks of nonstandard technical matters. Oversee technical accuracy of projects. Make technical presentations to clients and at public meetings. Prepare proposals and project budgets. Manage project implementation according to company procedures. Keep clients informed of project status. Coordinate with other project managers and subconsultants. Supervise interdisciplinary teams. Provide technical advice on assigned projects. Prepare high-quality reports. Meet regularly with key clients. Track project costs and ensure timely invoicing. Communicate new business opportunities. Control project costs and discuss variations. Maximize project profitability. Present company capabilities and strengths. Develop project descriptions for marketing materials. Solicit new clients and projects. Prepare proposals, fee proposals, and contracts. Negotiate fees for new projects. Manage and develop project staff. Coordinate workload with staff and other Project Managers.
