AS400 Mainframe Business Analyst - Oil and Gas - Remote

8+ years of business analysis experience on software development projects. 8+ years of experience preparing project-related documentation. 8+ years of strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written/verbal/presentation communication skills in English (specifically technical writing). 8+ years of proficiency with MS Office suite, Visio, SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, or Axure. 8+ years of hands-on requirements elicitation, client management, and technical documentation (traceability, use cases, prototyping, data modeling). 8+ years of facilitating interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams. 8+ years of strong analysis experience in assessing Production Support issues to determine Root Cause and document items needed for data or system correction. 8+ years of developing/maintaining understanding of key business drivers/impacts and assisting clients with identifying/solving business problems. 8+ years of facilitating analysis of business and functional requirements and design of technology specifications. 8+ years of defining functional design and systems specifications; preparing/reviewing/delivering completed packages. 8+ years of participating in and providing guidance to Business and Functional Units in user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities. Familiarity with mainframe environments (preferred). Familiarity with SQL (preferred). Familiarity with Salesforce environments (preferred). Familiarity with Remedyforce (preferred). Familiarity with Core Java / J2EE development environment (preferred). Familiarity with relational databases (preferred). Experience with process improvement strategies and methodologies (preferred). Proven ability to lead change and design more efficient processes (preferred). Experience in Oil and Gas industry and compliance/enforcement projects as a Business Analyst (preferred). Proven ability to work compatibly within multifaceted teams, resolve conflict, and deal with challenging situations (preferred). Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience (preferred).

Perform advanced business analysis for mainframe transformation projects. Gather, develop, and document requirements. Review, assess, and develop business processes. Create and validate user acceptance testing. Provide research and special project support. Ensure quality and consistency of deliverables. May assign and/or supervise the work of others.
