Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or similar role with increasing technical responsibility.
- Experience supporting Agile teams and delivering requirements in iterative development environments.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, including joins, data validation, and troubleshooting across complex datasets.
- Experience working with system integrations, APIs, or data flows across enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira for backlog management and requirements tracking.
- Experience documenting technical requirements, data mappings, and system behavior with a high level of accuracy and detail.
- Experience in healthcare, PBM, claims processing, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments and modern application architectures (e.g., AWS, microservices concepts).
- Strong understanding of compliance considerations including HIPAA, PHI/PII handling, and audit-driven requirements.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and refine business and technical requirements.
- Translate needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define solution approaches, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog priorities.
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL.
- Support system integrations by documenting data mappings, system-to-system flows, and API or interface requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release readiness activities.
- Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Serve as a technical liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze post-release results to validate data accuracy, system performance, and fulfillment of requirements.
- Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, audit, and data governance standards.
- Maintain clear, well-structured documentation.
