Mid Multimedia Designer

Bachelor’s degree or 3-year diploma in multimedia design, graphic design, animation, motion design or similar. 3-5 years of agency or in-house studio experience. A strong multimedia portfolio displaying range across digital design, animation, video, and interactive mediums. High level of proficiency in Adobe CC Suite (Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro). Experience in and/or willingness to rapidly upskill in interactive design and animation software (Rive). Experience working in the EdTech industry (preferable). Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (preferable). Knowledge of AI-gen tools and AI-augmented creative workflows (preferable). Experience creating content for pan-African audiences (preferable).

Design and assemble illustrations for static end-use or animation. Design infographics and data visualizations for learning material. Develop interactive designs, interfaces, and animations for learning. Design and utilize templates for client CI elements (presentations, documents, email). Design and utilize motion graphic elements (video branding, kinetic typography). Storyboard and animate 2D vector graphics, including character animation. Edit video and audio footage into engaging learning material. Re-brand existing graphics, videos, and animations into new styles. Adhere to brand guidelines and ensure brand consistency. Perform strict quality control checks. Enact changes based on provided feedback. Demonstrate strong communication, deadline management, and independent work. Act as a team player, providing support and feedback. Manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
