SCADA and Controls Engineer

SCADA design and implementation in a NERC-CIP environment. Experience with Ignition! and GE Cimplicity preferred. Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms (Ignition!, Cimplicity, Vantage, Merit). Familiarity with solar transmission and distributed generation site devices. DNP3, MODBUS, OPCUA, MQTT, SEL, TCP/IP protocol troubleshooting and configuration experience. Ability to interpret electrical one-line diagrams and site control drawings. Understanding of solar and battery system logic for Power Plant Controller functionality. Proficiency with SEL RTAC relay and network troubleshooting and configuration. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field. 4+ years of relevant experience in SCADA or Industrial Automation and Control.

Troubleshoot SCADA and Power Plant Controller issues (GE/Emerson, SEL RTACs, Siemens RTUs). Coordinate with SCADA integrators for configuration changes and upgrades. Provide commissioning oversight for new SCADA systems. Ensure SCADA systems meet networking cyber security and compliance requirements.
