Requirements:
  • 5 years relevant editorial experience + Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years relevant editorial experience + Master’s or Doctoral degree
  • Relevant experience working in an editorial role on Open Access journals
  • Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Materials Science, Ecology, or Environmental Sciences
  • Ability to collaborate with team members in California during CA business hours

  • Track record of overseeing day-to-day publishing activities meeting deadlines

Responsibilities:
  • Strategically develop journals in the portfolio.
  • Monitor journal performance end-to-end.
  • Launch new journals and manage existing ones.
  • Ensure a perfect customer experience for authors, reviewers, and editors.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate and track manuscripts through the online portal.
  • Perform manuscript checks for ethical and scientific compliance.
  • Monitor the peer review process for timely feedback.
  • Build communication and relationships with editors, authors, and reviewers.
  • Ensure Editorial Board members are aware of journal mission and policies.
  • Promote journals and develop relevant field contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal editorial, product, and operations teams.
