Financial Controller (Remote)

5+ years of experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role. Experience in a high-growth SaaS or recurring revenue environment is ideal. Proven expertise in managing multi-entity accounting across different countries, currencies, and compliance regimes. Demonstrated success overseeing outsourced finance functions such as bookkeeping, tax preparation, and payroll administration. Advanced knowledge of financial systems including Xero, Joiin, Syft, Rippling, Airwallex. Strong proficiency in Google Sheets. Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR/MRR, churn, burn multiple) and financial modeling best practices. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey financial insights to non-finance stakeholders. Bonus: Experience with R&D tax incentive programs and clean-tech financial compliance.

Lead and execute all aspects of financial operations, including month-end close, AP/AR, cash flow management, and consolidation. Develop and maintain robust internal controls, compliance protocols, and documentation. Own the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking. Serve as the primary liaison for external accounting firms, tax advisors, and payroll providers. Oversee the integrity and performance of finance systems and integrations. Provide timely financial reports and strategic insights to leadership and investors. Prepare lender, grant, and regulatory submissions. Continuously assess and improve financial processes and workflows.
