Staff Software Engineer (DevTools, Python)

Strong SW engineering skills and knowledge Excellent coding culture (CQ standards, automation, testing, FOSS contributions) Strong Python experience Experience building dev-tools Experience maintaining open-source software Motivation and interest in devtools space, Machine Learning and Data science space, Python ecosystem, storage and data systems Remote work self-discipline Excellent communication skills (clear, constructive, respectful dialog) Ability to manage time, define, spec-out, and deliver large tasks and features Contribute and co-own team and product planning Respect deadlines and business priorities Experience working remotely in Agile and dynamic teams Open source contributions and experience in maintaining projects (OSS) System programming experience (kernel-level, virtualization, databases, filesystems, etc.) Machine Learning or Data Science experience is strongly preferred

Lead efforts around DVC product and ecosystem development Own cross-product features and efforts Be hands-on with coding and driving changes Hold brainstorming and architecture discussions Write technical specifications Write code Write documentation for code Write blog posts and public updates Participate in the product work lifecycle Work directly with management and founders Translate vision into functionality Be actively involved in the community Support users on Github, Discord, and forum Understand user workflows Demo and mock user projects
