Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in execution and management. Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field from an accredited program. Broad experience in the environmental and engineering consulting business. Experience in project management and technical project execution. Demonstrated track record of extensive project/program management. Experience identifying, leading, and participating in business development and bid and proposal efforts. Strong desire to grow an organization and ability to motivate others. Network of potential professional teaming partners, specialty sub-consultants, and industry experts. Excellent reputation within the industry. Understanding of the business development cycle related to the consulting business. Industry leader with proven ability to understand and articulate issues impacting technical practices.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead biosolids treatment and disposal projects. Provide technical expertise on biosolids treatment and disposal. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory agencies. Supervise project teams, including engineers and technicians. Prepare technical reports and proposals. Stay current on emerging technologies and regulations in biosolids management. Represent the company in industry and professional organizations. Collaborate with Practice Leaders on approach, technical direction, quality controls, and innovation. Support Project Managers and Technical Managers for technical tasks. Provide strategic advice and technical leadership on projects. Responsible for overall technical content and quality of project deliverables. Direct complex engineering or scientific work for clients. Foster and maintain one-on-one relationships with key external clients and internal technical teams. Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and/or external clients. Identify business needs and pursue opportunities. Work with the marketing team to develop marketing materials for the biosolids market. Drive positioning of the firm as a market leader. Educate Client Managers on business development approaches. Provide leadership in coordinating participation in conferences. Prepare and present papers to maintain reputation and enhance brand. Increase W&C visibility through professional organizations.
