- Own the monthly billing cycle, interpret client contracts, source billing inputs, prepare invoices, and manage accounts receivable collections.
- Reconcile third-party vendor invoices against client rebilling and investigate variances.
- Own accounts payable intake, vendor coding, payment-run preparation, and vendor relationships.
- Manage US multi-state sales tax, including nexus monitoring, registrations, filings, exemption certificates, notices, and audits.
- Administer Avalara and reconcile taxable sales to filed returns.
- Support Canadian corporate tax filings and US federal and state returns with external advisors.
- Own the month-end close across the US parent, Canadian entity, and subsidiary; maintain recurring schedules and prepare departmental variance explanations.
- Allocate payroll and benefits across US and Canadian payroll, including CAD translation and RRSP remittance reconciliation.
- Produce the monthly board KPI package and serve as primary contact for the annual financial statement audit.
- Document recurring processes and implement improvements to systems and workflows.
