Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or have equivalent work experience.
- Have 3 years of experience in an accounting or financial position.
- Public accounting experience counts at a weighted rate: 1 year of public accounting equals 2 years of applicable work experience.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrate priority-setting and project management skills.
- Work independently with minimal supervision or effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with senior leadership teams.
- Have proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reporting, and analysis.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support employee and retiree benefit accounting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify variances and trends.
- Identify and research trends and developments.
- Lead special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Collaborate with others to identify process improvements.
