Requirements
- Have practical experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or financial operations.
- Have mandatory hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Have experience with Bill.com and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Understand basic accounting principles and financial processes.
- Have experience with accounts payable processing, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Be able to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Be able to work with multiple clients and manage competing priorities.
- Experience with outsourced accounting firms or multiple client accounts is preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures is preferred.
- Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts is preferred.
- CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting qualification is preferred, depending on experience level.
- Previous experience reviewing work or mentoring junior accounting staff is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, and payment coordination.
- Support accounts receivable processes and customer invoicing.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting where applicable.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation across multiple client accounts.
- Collaborate with co-founders to improve accounting workflows and processes; depending on experience, review work and guide junior team members.
