Requirements
- Proven ability to build and execute a regional marketing strategy that delivers, accelerates, and expands sales pipeline.
- Experience supporting both direct sales and channel sales teams.
- Experience in enterprise solution demand creation and regional marketing.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to optimize program performance and inform future strategies.
- Ability to communicate ideas and data clearly in writing and presentations to varied audiences.
- Ability to build and manage a budget within the territory, with close attention to program details and deadlines.
- Understanding of CIOs, CTOs, VPs of engineering and platform, and security leaders as audiences.
- Substantial understanding of developer tools, IT operations tools, and/or IT security markets.
- Ability to use GitLab and work in accordance with GitLab's values.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and comply with the company's travel policy.
Responsibilities
- Own regional marketing strategy and pipeline and growth outcomes for the sales territory.
- Adapt digital and content marketing programs to the needs of the regional sales team.
- Create and run regional and account-focused campaigns to build, expand, and accelerate sales opportunities.
- Set regional event and campaign strategy, and manage onsite event logistics, booth staffing, and swag.
- Project manage campaigns from planning through execution, keeping them on time and within budget, then measure and report their effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional demand generation and regional marketing plans, advocating for the sales region within marketing and for marketing with the sales team.
- Support Channel and Alliance Marketing activities with GitLab partners, from campaign approval through execution.
- Work with external agencies and third parties to prepare, manage, and execute campaigns.
- Mentor regional marketing specialists and managers and help build team processes.
