Requirements
- Have 5+ years’ experience in project management, business analysis, or similar project delivery environments, with proven success delivering complex projects.
- Bring hands-on experience in both project management and business analysis.
- Be able to take initiatives from concept and discovery through requirements gathering, delivery and evaluation.
- Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to investigate unfamiliar industries, technologies, products and business models.
- Have experience gathering, analysing and documenting business and solution requirements, mapping processes, and translating business problems into clear, structured and testable requirements.
- Have project planning experience managing scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
- Have experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, technical teams, external providers and vendors.
- Demonstrate commercial judgement, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, including balancing business benefits against costs, complexity and risks.
- Experience with prototyping, proof of concept, MVP development, AI, machine learning, automation, business case preparation or feasibility assessments is highly regarded.
- Exposure to insurance, financial services, technology or other regulated industries is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Research markets, products, services, technologies, operating models and commercial opportunities across insurance, pet care and related industries.
- Conduct competitor and industry analysis to identify trends, unmet needs and potential business opportunities.
- Translate research findings into recommendations, testable ideas, management briefings and prioritised R&D initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives and constraints, and document processes, workflows, user journeys, business rules and requirements.
- Prepare business requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and gap analyses.
- Own projects from discovery through validation and implementation or handover, managing plans, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks and deliverables.
- Research and evaluate vendors, technology solutions and potential partners, assessing technical, commercial and operational feasibility.
- Explore opportunities involving AI, machine learning, generative AI and process automation, considering data quality, privacy, security, regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, support project handovers and capture lessons learned.
