Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Previous experience as a Head of Accounting, Accounting Manager, Lead Accountant, Financial Controller, or sole accountant responsible for a company's accounting operations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience independently managing accounting operations.
- Experience overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Experience managing financial records across multiple business entities.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership of accounting operations and work independently.
- Strong background in e-commerce accounting is a plus, particularly with complex operations or Amazon-based businesses.
- Experience with financial automation, cash flow forecasting tools, or improving accounting workflows is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with software engineers or technical teams is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the accounting function across multiple business entities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.
- Oversee general accounting operations, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, and maintain records of incoming and outgoing payments.
- Monitor financial transactions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate and timely recording.
- Manage e-commerce accounting across multiple companies and sales channels, including Amazon-based businesses.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows and financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to improve cash flow management and financial visibility.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Machine Learning teams to improve forecasting systems, financial tools, reporting, and automation.
