Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience delivering complex software systems and solving technical challenges.
- Bring strong backend experience architecting and building services with Python, Flask, and/or FastAPI.
- Have experience writing comprehensive backend tests, such as with Pytest, and ensuring strong test coverage.
- Be able to break complex projects into components or milestones that other engineers can take on.
- Have demonstrated experience collaborating with coworkers on cross-functional teams.
- Have experience building consumer-facing applications and internal tools.
- Frontend experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large or ambiguous initiatives spanning multiple systems or teams.
- Own project execution from design through rollout, using agentic workflows and automated guardrails where applicable.
- Guide team members through code reviews, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers in technical, design, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Contribute to strategic planning and the technical direction of key initiatives, including agentic SDLC adoption.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using agent-driven debugging and other solutions.
- Lead improvements in reliability, scalability, observability, and incident response.
- Improve engineering patterns, tooling, documentation, and processes across multiple teams.
- Communicate technical concepts to engineers, product managers, and leadership.
