Requirements
- Have 5 to 8+ years of senior-level, hands-on experience in backend, platform, or integration engineering.
- Have strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Have built and maintained complex data integrations at enterprise or government scale.
- Understand asynchronous workloads and processing.
- Have experience developing reliable, production-grade backend systems.
- Be able to debug using logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Be proficient with at least one SQL or NoSQL database in production.
- Be comfortable working effectively in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain deep, bidirectional data integrations with government and enterprise partners.
- Build reliable asynchronous processing using queues, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency patterns.
- Handle duplicates, missing dependencies, and validation failures defensively.
- Eliminate manual support work through backend services, Lambda functions, and internal tools.
- Implement structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Debug production systems, including code you did not write.
- Establish reusable integration standards and infrastructure for the team.
- Work with external vendors on API changes and coordinated deployments.
