Have 7+ years of software development experience.
Bring a strong focus on modern web frontend development and hands-on experience building backend services.
Have experience with React and TypeScript, while being able to work with a legacy Backbone codebase.
Have experience with Java and Spring Boot, including backend services and APIs.
Be familiar with RabbitMQ and event-driven flows.
Work with PostgreSQL or MS-SQL databases.
Be comfortable with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Use data and instrumentation to measure the impact of work and inform decisions.
Actively use AI tools in daily development workflows.
Demonstrate product thinking, attention to UX, and the ability to reason about systems and trade-offs.
Communicate complex technical ideas clearly in English to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work effectively with remote and co-located teams.

Own features across the stack, from database schema and backend services to UI, deployment, and operations.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to ship and iterate on features.
Participate in design and code discussions and lead technical discussions about product and engineering trade-offs.
Apply automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Improve service and frontend observability with metrics, dashboards, and alerts using Datadog, Sentry, and web vitals.
Build backend services and APIs in Java and Spring Boot, including event-driven flows with RabbitMQ.
Instrument work, measure impact, and use evidence to decide what to scale.
Maintain and develop the React/TypeScript frontend while navigating legacy Backbone code and its integration with modern systems.
Build internal tools for operations and support teams.
